Welcome to ABIS Special Interest Group

ABIS is the German Special Interest Group (SIG) on Adaptivity and User Modeling in Interactive Software Systems. Our aim is to advance research on adaptive systems and foster exchange within the research community.

We organize annual workshops and maintain a mailing list and several social media channels to connect researchers and practitioners interested in the field.

The group is open to everyone with an interest in adaptivity, personalization, recommender systems, and user modeling. We especially encourage students and early-career researchers to join, benefit from the expertise within our community, and actively contribute to its activities. We also warmly welcome members from outside Germany and encourage international collaboration.
